Cyber Range & Skills Platform

Arena — Your Own
Cyber Range

A self-hosted range that spins up real containers, virtual machines and full networks on demand — so people learn, prove and defend against threats in a place where breaking things is the point. Runs on your infrastructure: cloud, on-premises or fully air-gapped.

The Range

Real Infrastructure, On Demand

Instead of slides and quizzes, Arena gives every learner a live environment — a container, a single VM, or a whole multi-host network — provisioned in seconds and torn down when the session ends. Every lab becomes a repeatable, isolated, measurable exercise.

Bring Your Own Images
Boot from a .qcow2 or an ISO directly; vmdk and vmx also work with a few conversion quirks. If it runs as a VM, it runs in Arena — including any SIEM, EDR agent or production stack you need in the loop.
Container to Full Network
Single-container challenges, single VMs, or routed multi-host networks with switches, routers and segmented subnets — described once and cloned per user.
Isolated & Repeatable
Every deployment is sandboxed. Reset, retry and grade without any risk to production systems or to other learners sharing the range.
Measured Outcomes
Auto-scored flags, submitter binaries and questionnaires, live activity logs, VNC and serial consoles, and session recordings turn practice into evidence of skill.
Outpost

The Attack Machine
in the Browser

The hardest part of teaching offensive security is giving every learner a safe, identical, powerful machine. Outpost makes it a non-issue: a per-user VM orchestrated on your own Proxmox/Nomad infrastructure and streamed to the browser over a no-install remote desktop, carrying the full offensive toolkit.

  • Zero setup — nothing to configure on student or employee laptops
  • Isolated and disposable, reset between sessions
  • Full-screen or half-screen "attack box" mode, auto-scaled to the display
  • Time-boxed with live countdown and controlled extensions
  • Rate-limited and fully audited per user
  • A locked-down exam variant for assessments

How Teams Use It

One Range, Many Missions

SOC / Blue Team
Spin up any SIEM as a lab instance, run scripted attacks against attached targets, and confirm end to end that your detection rules actually fire. Tune, replay and prove coverage before it matters in production.
Offensive / Red Team
Build target hosts with real EDR and XDR agents installed, then run your tooling against them to measure success rate, detection and evasion — with a clean environment every single run.
AppSec / DevSecOps
Clone an entire production web application into an isolated sandbox and test it thoroughly — destructive scans included — without endangering the live deployment. Full logs stream back in real time.
DFIR / Threat Hunting
Detonate malware in a throwaway sandbox, practice memory and disk forensics on seeded images, rehearse incident response on live infrastructure, or run purple team drills.
Proctored Examinations
Practical, auto-graded exams on live infrastructure. Each candidate gets an isolated instance with unique flags; instructors record and even live-stream every Outpost session, so cheating becomes visible and provable.
Hiring Assessments
Put candidates through a realistic hands-on scenario before an offer is made: isolated per candidate, auto-scored, repeatable, with full session replay for the hiring panel.
For Education

Built to Close the Industry–Academia Gap

Cybersecurity is learned by doing, yet most institutions teach it from slides. Arena turns a campus into a live cyber range — with the tooling instructors need to teach, supervise and examine on it.

Instructor Portals
A roster view of every learner — enrolment, progress, solves, streaks and exam status at a glance. Grade assignments, quizzes and labs from one place, much of it scored automatically from captured flags.
Live Proctoring & Recording
Record every candidate's Outpost session and live-stream any student's screen during an exam. Every session is captured, timestamped and archivable for moderation and academic-integrity review.
Structured, Gated Learning
Pathway → Course → Module → Lecture, Quiz & Lab. Learners unlock the next step only after completing the previous one. Ready-made courses ship on day one, then get co-authored with your faculty.
Classroom to Competition
The Events engine lets an institution run its own CTFs — internal assessments, faculty championships or national inter-university competitions — then release those challenges into the practice catalogue.
Owned, Not Rented
One institutional deployment instead of recurring per-student subscriptions that never scale to a full cohort.
Built for Teaching
Courses, gating, exams, grading and proctoring are first-class features — not bolted onto a hobbyist hacking site.
Sovereign & Private
Every student action, lab, recording and result stays on campus infrastructure, under the institution's control.
The Landscape

Why Arena, and Not the Alternatives

Public platforms are excellent for individuals. None are built to be owned, curated, examined-on and invigilated by an institution. That is exactly where Arena sits.

Pricing Model

One Deployment, Not a Thousand Seats

Arena is priced as an owned institutional deployment, sized to your cohort and hardware — not a per-student subscription that grows every term.

What's Included
Platform deployment on your infrastructure, the starter course and challenge library, faculty enablement, the authoring guide, and ongoing support and updates.
How It's Sized
By concurrent lab capacity and modules in use — from a single department to a campus-wide range with examination and competition hosting.
Getting a Number
A scoping workshop is free and gives you a fixed quote. From pilot to a running range is a matter of weeks, not years. Request a quote →
Delivery Model

Deployed, Staffed and Supported by AirOverflow

Arena is delivered as a turnkey programme: we stand up the platform on your infrastructure and stay until your team is self-sufficient.

01
Deploy
Installed on your own servers (Proxmox/Nomad orchestration). Fully on-prem and air-gap capable — no data leaves your network.
02
Enable
On-site personnel run the first lab classes alongside your instructors and support the initial exam and proctoring cycles.
03
Provision
A starter library of courses and challenges, then co-developed with your team so it maps to your syllabus or programme.
04
Hand Over
A complete guide on challenge and course development, integration and deployment — so your team authors independently.
